I'm currently at the boyfriend's house, meaning that I have some kind of makeup with me, unless I know that we're not going anywhere special for the next day. I try and keep my products multi-use, like the Buffing Brush will be used for foundation, concealer and blush, and the blush has a mirror on so I don't have to hunt for my Beauty Card from Superdrug or scour his room and find the only reflection giving item is either a front facing camera on his phone and the tv (believe me, I have done my makeup many a time in the tv's reflection).

I try and keep my skincare routine fairly similar to the full one I normally use at home, but with easier and quicker steps. I have to have eye cream and my Body Shop moisturizer (the best, ever), and just use a quick cleanser such as the Body Shop's Aloe Vera foaming one or Liz Earle's Cleanse & Polish, but I actually forgot to pick up my travel size of the C&P so needed a quick fix. Luckily, I met my mother before going to L's and she had some of these facial wipes in her bag. I hate not washing my face at the end of the day so these will do and I'll just splash my face with water afterwards.

For eyes and skin, I go very basic. My skin doesn't like being powdered down so that saves quite a lot of space in my makeup bag and as Vitalumiere is rather small, it doesn't take up much room either. I bring eyeliner and mascara because if I needed to dress up my daytime~ look to transition into nighttime, I will slick some eyeliner into a cateye and be done with it. Lancome's mascaras are seriously the best high end mascara I've ever tried, so I know this won't fail me. I brought lipstick today, as I'm trying to wean myself on to it, but normally just bring some kind of lipbalm, but L does actually have a Burt's Bees one (how cute) which I can pinch. Hair clips are just for if my hair is really unruly in the morning, so I can at least try at tame it to some reasonable extent.

I'm sorry if this is a bit TL;DR!

2 love notes:

  1. I enjoyed reading this :) when you say your skin doesn't like being powdered down - do you just use your Chanel foundation without any powder to set it? Your skin looks flawless!!! Do you think the Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream helps stop your skin getting shiny without wearing powder? I think I'll need to invest :) xx

    1. Yeah, I don't powder my skin, I prefer the dewy look, which the Chanel foundation gives me. I sometimes powder my t-zone as that is slightly oilier but never powder my cheeks. But yeah, the day cream works wonders and is especially good with a makeup setting spray. The cream balances my skin, it doesnt make it too dry on my cheeks but still gives moisture to my oily areas without making the over oily!
